Description:

Newkem was awarded the hot insulation job as Krishakbh plant at hazira where the calcium silicate was used due to high temperatures of the pipelines.
All surfaces to be insulated were cleaned by wire brush
Wherever required Newkem Adhesive Bond was applied on moist insulant before installation for holding calcium silicate to the substrate viz elbows
Calcium silicate insulation sections/lags of 75 mm thickness were applied and sealed all joints with calcium silicate mortar. All joints were sealed by Calcium Silicate Mortar. Multilayer insulation was done similar way to accommodate higher thickness and on larger pipe diameter.
The calcium silicate was cladded with 22 SWG Aluminium sheet metal cladding double grooved and held in position by screws.
