Flamebar BW11 – Fire Rated Ductwork has been installed by Newkem extensively across the hotel in the Smoke Extraction and Kitchen Extraction Systems designed by Spectral Services Consultants Pvt Ltd (HVAC Consultants). The Flamebar BW11 system will ensure that the ductwork will maintain its integrity, stability and insulation criteria to ensure continuous extraction of smoke in a fire scenario.

The ITC Group of Hotels aims to be the GREENEST Luxury Hotel Chain in the world. Spectral Services Consultants, HVAC Consultants share a similar motto of “ Greenest By Design”. The Flamebar BW11 Coating, being a 100% VOC free and application friendly system, was the unanimous choice for this project.

Newkem also provided its services of Structural Fire Protection to the Steel members used on the project designed by Sterling Consultants. The ISOLATEK Type CP2 vermiculite–cement based system was used on the project and the structures were protected for 2 hours. The CP2 system is tested to British (BS 476 Part 20 ) and American (UL 263 ) fire protection test standards.
