The Indian Schools of Business (ISB), Hyderabad campus is located in Gachibowli. It is spread across 260 acres, located near large enterprises such as Infosys Technologies, Microsoft, and Wipro.The campus which consists of lecture halls, the auditorium, library, professors’ rooms, administrative offices, auditorium and the cafeteria have been built in structural steel designed by WS Atkins.

The tensile strength of Structural Steel reduces with increase in temperature. Un protected steel will loose half its designed strength within the first 15 minutes in a fire. While selecting a suitable system for structural fire protection it was essential that the system was lightweight, durable for the life of the building, tested and certified to UL 273 and BS 476 Part 21 Standards to provide the required fire rating of 2 hours

Newkem’s vermiculite cement based CP2 system satisfied the above requirements for the project and was applied on all the Structural Steel members on this project.
