The Neelam and Heera Oil and Gas Field is located in the Mumbai Offshore Basin.
The capacity of Neelam Heera stands at 1,500 barrels per day (2005).With safety being paramount in the offshore Platforms Fire Protection System installed in such high risk environments must be tested to stringentHydrocarbon Fire Safety Standards.

Mandolite 550 and the M-II System are tested and approved by Underwriters Laboratories, Lloyds Fire Register, Warrington Fire Research Laboratory. The systems have successfully been tested and certified for Hydrocarbon Pool Fires, Jet Fire and Blast Scenarios.

Newkem along with Patel Engineering works worked together to execute fire proofing of structures and partition walls for NeelamHeera Platform of ONGC for their refurbishment and maintenance contract.
