The Delhi Metro is a rapid transit system serving Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida and Ghaziabad in the National Capital Region of India. It is one of the larges metro networks in the world. The network consist of six lines with a total length of 189.63 km with 142 stations of which 35 are underground.

With over 2 millions of lives at stake every day state of the art Fire Safety Systems complying not only with Indian but also International Standards are installed on the Project. Underground fires cause many problems such as extreme heat, smoke logged exits and difficulty in firefighting due to low visibility. A Fire Rated Smoke Extraction System was designed to over come the above mentioned issues.

Flamebar BW11 – Fire Rated Ductwork was installed by Newkemon this project even though a cladding system had been originally chosen. Project price, Construction and Time Restraints did not allow for a cladding application so the Flamebar BW11 system was selected and finished ahead of schedule.
