Problem: Water seepage from ground due to capillary action

Description: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) built a commercial office complex and IT Park – Banyan Park for their operations in Mumbai at Andheri (East). The Gym and Squash courts were built underground in the basement levels and due to high water levels they were facing problems of water seepage from the ground. The construction team including the architectural team of Somaya Kallapa and structural consultant team of Sterling Services required a durable, high tensile strength, high elongation, chemical resistant and impermeable coating. The QuickSpray Industrial System surpassed the above requirements and was selected for the project.

Result: The VIP Polyurea system has ensured no water seepage in the treated basement area although the
adjacent untreated areas have shown water ingress which proves the high level of performance of the system. The client and the entire construction team have provided excellent evaluations for the VIP Polyurea system.
